Ngati Hikitanga Te Paea

Held on the 26^th April 2014 at the Avondale Baptist church lounge was the first of two hui that’s is to be held this year. This being our first hui away from our traditional Rohe. The small party that travelled to Avondale met with our northern whanau that we had never met before. With a larger number of attendees at this meeting than has been seen for some time at hui, it was a delightful surprise. All that attended appeared to have enjoyed themselves meeting new whanau and having the opportunity of speaking with our legal advisor Anthony Ruakere. Thank you goes out to our Kaumatua Tony Goodwin for assistance in the organising the Hui  Venue in Avondale, all food catering we obtained locally from Marton and Palmerston North, our support group were Donelle Sutherland, Ara Lee Sinclair and his partner Shirleen, Verna and Janice who travelled up from Otaki after the Anzac Parade to give their support.
